Crystal Dumpling, locally known as Chai Kueh is an iconic traditional Asian delicacy. With a chewy texture and being steamed, it is a rather healthy snack. 
The skill is in making its soft chewy and translucent-like crystal skin. Stir-fry sengkuang with dried shrimp and spices is then wrapped in its crystal skin, blending together its soft skin and crunchy vegetables, making it a simply irresistible snack anytime of the day. Nyonya Kuih

Nyonya kuih is a typical Malaysian delicacy that can be eaten anytime of the day. Being served in bite sizes, there are many varieties to choose from. 
1. Kuih talam - Made of two layers, the bottom is a green layer made from pandan extract. The top white layer is softer and has strong coconut milk aroma and slightly salty. 
2. Kuih seri muka - This kuih is also two layers. The top layer being a green custard with Pandan extract, while the bottom layer is sticky rice cooked in coconut milk with a hint of salt. 
3. Kuih lapis - Lapis meaning layers, this kuih has many layers and in Chinese, it is called 9 layers kuih. Combining various types of flour with coconut milk, it's aroma and richness is simply too irresistible. 
4. Kuih bingka - Also popularly known as tapioca cake or cassava cake, tapioca is finely grated and combined with coconut milk and other ingredients. This kuih unlike the others is being baked for the yummy crust.

Kuih Sago Gula Melaka

Kuih sago gula melaka is made with small tapioca pearls and is lightly sweet, its texture soft and bouncy. This recipe uses natural colouring of Pandan extract for the top layer while the bottom layer is cooked with gula melaka or palm sugar.
